Jared Goff Has A Complete Set Of Weapons To Work With In 2020

During the offseason, the Rams got a new running back, a wide receiver, and lost their BEST RUNNING BACK OF ALL TIME. Van Jefferson (WR) and Cam Akers (RB) are good players they picked up in the 2nd round of the draft. CAM AKERS CAME FROM A OFFENSIVE LINE THAT WAS SO EASY TO GET PAST, IT WAS LIKE BEATING THE TUTORIAL OF A VIDEO GAME.

Todd Gurley II left the team. He was powerful like a rhino crashing through the defensive linemen. In 2018 the Rams lost the Super Bowl with 1,251 rushing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 5 yards per carry by Gurley on the season. The Rams released Gurley because they owed him $7.55 million dollars, but they saved $10.5 million total by releasing him. This is a good & bad thing because now they have cap space but they already lost a lot of key players (Aqib Talib, Brandin Cooks, Clay Matthews).

The Rams' Top 5 offensive weapons for Jared Goff as of now:
  •  Cooper Kupp
  •  Robert Woods
  •  Gerald Everett
  •  Cam Akers
  •  Van Jefferson
1. Cooper Kupp, WR
He can pick pressure passes out of the air. He is definitely your go to person for deep throws or do or die passes.

2. Robert Woods, WR
He is good for possession catches and for getting the first down. If he's 1 on 1 deep, pass it to him. He is most likely to catch it. He's fast and he's good with route running.

3.Gerald Everett, TE
Definitely a beast. If you have those 10 yards to go then definitely your go to guy. Needs like 2 defenders to bring him down at 6'3" 240 pounds. Be careful!

4. Cam Akers, RB
A awesome running back for their type of play style. Especially if they are having tight ends blocking. He was a beast with a bad offensive line so with a decent one he should be fine.

5. Van Jefferson, WR
Quick, definitely an awesome route runner. Knows how to beat his defender and catch the ball. We have a rich man version of Robert Woods (well we also have the regular version of him too).

With these players, Goff should be able to make easy touchdowns. They have everything they need, even without Gurley and Cooks. They have a strong team. Now it's all up to Jared Goff.

In conclusion, the Rams offense should expect to be dynamic and explosive. They have everything they need on the offense. It should be no problem getting past the NFC defenses this year, because Goff's set of playmakers to work with is complete.

Let me know what you think in the comments.

  1. A lot of information here Blitz War! Tell us more about Jared Goff's story. Where did he grow up? What were his stats like in high school? What makes sports captivating for me are the back stories.

  2. Hi Jayshawn. Another great post! I can feel your heartbreak over losing Toddy Gurley. Not sure he's the Rams best ever running back. Look up Eric Dickerson and Marshall Faulk. Both of those guys dominated for the Rams. Great analysis of the money situation. It seems like salary considerations drive football decisions even more than how well the guy plays.

How can you not put Tyler Higbee in the top 5 weapons? He beasted last year. 69 catches for 734 yards, but I think Everett was injured when Higbee did well.

Lastly, did you see the Rams schedule? Just came out. What do you think their record will be? I'd say 10-6, maybe. Plus, they play the Pats in week 14. Who'll win that one?

    Keep up the great work!

    1. They're definitely going 12-4. Higbee is okay one game, and then good another, I don't know. If the Patriots have a good quarterback, they might win, I don't know about Stidham though. I think the score will be 35-14 Rams.

  4. Jayshawn, you need to get fitted for a suit in order to appear on a sports network. I don't understand any of this, but it reads like a battle plan. I'm still waiting on your College football posts. Go Buckeyes!

  9. The Rams are going to need all the weapons they can get...I see that they have the 10th toughest schedule in the NFL next season! I was disappointed that the Lions and Rams don’t play each other; they had a pretty good game during the Rams’ Super Bowl season, with L.A. pulling away in the fourth quarter. You seem confident that the Rams will be able to score this year, but do you have concerns about the defense?

    1. Hardest teams to face are the Bills, and 49ers twice, and the Bucs.
Concerns about the defense? No...but yes. I'm worried that we're not going to be able to make big defensive plays since we lost Talib and Clay Matthews.

  10. Jayshawn,
I love reading your posts! What are your thoughts about Brady and Gronk back together but this time in Tampa? Also do you think Edelman is upset?

    1. Thanks Ms. Grassa, they're dangerous. They have Brady, Gronk, plus Mike Evans. Their defense is looking pretty good too, but not better than the Rams. Yes, Edelman is upset.
